Mark Archer

Hello, I am 52 years old and I live in East Hertfordshire with my family.  I currently see people for counselling & psychotherapy at my clinic on Bridge Street in Bishops Stortford. I also provide a home visiting service to enable clients to have counselling in the comfort of their own home.

I first became interested in counselling and psychotherapy over twenty five years ago when had counselling myself. Since then I have become increasingly interested in the importance of the therapeutic relationship in helping other people to heal and grow.

Following on from this I obtained my Dual Honours degree in Psychology and Biology at Keele University in Staffordshire,  volunteered for the Samaritans,  worked for the mental health charity Mind,  and the NHS Specialist Mental Health Team before completing my Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at UEL (one of the first courses to ever be accredited by the BACP).
